Trust at Work: How Gaining Consumers’ Trust Secures Brand Loyalty

What makes a consumer trust a brand and why? What practices are top brands using when approaching their stance on societal issues?
Cydney Roach, Executive Vice President of Edelman, a worldwide Public Relations agency, will present her research showing that the vast majority of consumers across markets, ages, incomes and gender say that brand trust is essential to buying. Cydney will utilize the Edelman Trust Barometer findings to talk about how brand, organizations and employers should speak out about societal issues, and attach it to their brand and social purpose. We’ll also review real-life examples from various organizations spanning health care, food, tech on how they approach and tackle this issue. In addition to discussing brand trust, we’ll touch on employee activism, focusing on where it comes from and how a company should approach this topic.
