DESCRIPTION:Join PRSA Bluegrass for a virtual Meet the Media event with Louisville Public Media! The local public radio station\, LPM includes WFPL (NPR-affiliate)\, WUOL\, WFPK and the Kentucky Center for Investigative Reporting. The organization has grown in the past few years\, expanding its newsroom with a diverse group of reporters covering a broad range of topics. We’ll be joined by Stephen George\, Jonese Franklin and Ellen Oost. \nGeorge is President and General Manager of LPM. A Louisville native\, he has spent most of his career in journalism. He previously served as executive editor of LPM\, where he led a growing\, multi-platform and collaborative newsroom. Previously\, George was editor-in-chief of the Nashville City Paper and LEO Weekly. His writing has appeared in a variety of local\, state and national media. \nFranklin is WFPL’s Program Director\, as well as serving as All Things Considered host. She came to WFPL from WEKU in Richmond\, Ky.\, where she was news content manager. Franklin has also worked at WUKY in Lexington and WMKY in Morehead\, Ky. \nOost has been with Louisville Public Media since 2018. She oversees the membership and marketing departments as well as major gifts and grants. Her team’s mission is to engage with the community and offer opportunities to support the organization’s work. Previously\, she served as Director of Development and Marketing at 21st Century Parks\, launching their annual fund’s membership campaign\, major gifts\, grants and fundraising events. Prior to that she worked in a variety of marketing and advertising positions\, most recently at Louisville-based advertising agency Doe-Anderson. \nPricing is $10 for PRSA Bluegrass members; $15 for non-members. \nParticipants will receive Zoom login information 48 hours before the event.
